Move Nightclub is an iconic venue in the UK underground DJ scene and South West of England. It’s second to none for it’s attention to detail in sound quality, with it’s bespoke Funktion-One sound system paired with its underground environment making it the perfect place to feel the bass.
Situated on Exeter’s stunning Quayside, only a 7 minute walk from Exeter Cathedral, you’ll find one of Exeter’s longest standing nightlife venues. Originally opened in 1980 as Boxes, this space has been the epicentre of freedom and expression for over 40 years! Now fitted out with the latest in high-quality intelligent lighting, sound, and latest DJ equipment. Coming for a night out in Move will always be a time to remember.
With a late license until 3am and some of the best DJs and artists in the UK underground scene performing regularly, including acts like Wilkinson, Dimension, Camalphat, Annie Mac, Sub Focus, Eats Everything and so many more! Our most recent projects include Move Studio and Move Live, which are testaments to how strong the Move music community is, allowing us to now host full-band live music events (Move Live) and build a top-of-the-range DJ & MC practice studio on the top floor of the venue (Move Studio).
We are a community-driven venue that supports local and grassroots artists, giving them a space to develop, learn, and eventually play some huge events with some of the world’s most talked about acts.
